OJ Simpson turned down plea deal before being found guilty

OJ Simpson could have accepted a plea deal with prosecutors that would have limited his to a significantly shorter sentence than what he ended up receiving. Simpson was convinced he would be found innocent and expected a public apology from prosecutors.

OJ Simpson was convicted October 3rd of 12 criminal charges, including the kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon which led to their sentences, and the armed robbery, conspiracy and burglary sentences that the judge folded in with the rest. Glass threw out two coercion charges. He was sentenced on Friday to as many as 33 years behind bars, with eligibility for parole after nine.
